It has been a month or more since I last saw the heron I had been stalking. It finally showed up again yesterday. I found it perched on a dead tree in a swampy section of the river. But, it was on the other side of the river and even with a 300mm lens, it was hard to get a clear shot. These are heavily cropped. I’d like to have gotten sharper images, but it was hard to focus on a bird so far away.
