Yesterday we took our friend along the Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway. Our first stop was at beautiful Sparks Lake. We had an incredibly beautiful fall day. The mountains had a light dusting of snow on them.

Very, very nice . . . I don’t often get flat water. Not quite mirror-like, but very striking photo.
The best time to get a true mirror on the lakes here is early morning or late afternoon. We were fortunate it was as still as it was for the time of day we were there.
