Owlet

I learned from Wild Birds and Things that there was a nesting Great Horned Owl in a local park here.  I went down there EARLY this morning to see if I could spot them.  I was the only one there when I arrived.  The area is fenced off so people don’t get too close and disturb them.

I saw mom right away.  She was flying in and out of a cluster of trees.  As I walked around the area I spotted baby sitting on a branch.

It was still fairly dark and I had to use a very high ISO to get any kind of shot so there is a lot of grain. I tried to reduce it as much as I could but this was the best I could get.

I only stayed for a few minutes as I didn’t want to disturb them too much.
