While half the country is in the deep freeze, I thought I would share a couple of photos taken at sunset while in Kihei, Maui last month. Maybe you can feel a little of the warmth.
A few minutes later the colors completely changed.
Very beautiful images.. Nothing beats sunsets on beaches. Is most of the coastline in Maui like what you are showing in these images? I am assuming Maui must have had a very active volcanic life at some point.
They have many beautiful sandy beaches. Right next to this rocky area are some wonderful sandy beaches. All of the Hawaiian islands were formed by volcanic action. Maui’s was more recent than Oahu or Kauai. In fact, I think Haleakala is a dormant, not extinct, volcano. Of course, the Big Island has volcanoes that are still erupting and have been in a continuous state of eruption for several decades now.
Beautiful… I just love sunsets… makes me realise I’ve made it through the day…
I’m a sunset person too. I like sunrises too – if I can get up early enough to enjoy them.
Wow that’s stunning Maralee.
Thank you, Edith.
So gorgeous, I can feel the warmth, thanks 🙂 Annie
Thanks, Annie.
Those shots from Maui are so beautiful! I especially love the warmth of the first one 🙂
Thank you, Inga.
