Chinatown in Honolulu is always a fascinating place to visit. It is always bustling with people and there are strange sights and odors in all of the stores.
It is a very colorful place, too. I did these three photos with various processes – one in color, one in black and white and one with a slightly sepia tone.

Chinatown has not changed at all. Wow, that took me back. Wonderful!
Most of Chinatown hasn’t changed, but they’re revitalizing a part of it with new art galleries and restaurants. I guess they even have “art night” once a month or so. We weren’t there for that.
Never knew there was a Honolulu chinatown! Like your series of shots there.
It’s not as large as places like San Francisco or Vancouver, but still a fun place to visit.
It seams like there is a China town in every mayor city in US and Canada – Vancouver and San Francisco are suppose to have the biggest – Vancouver’s is a real adventure. Interesting shots, the black and white is my favorite here.
Honolulu’s Chinatown is pretty small but still serves its purpose.
Honolulu is on my bucket list … hopefully one day.
. . . it’s Hawai’i . . . the weather is nice . . . they are in front of a bakery . . . and not one person is smiling.
. . . it’s not how I remember Hawai’i, but it seems a depressing place to visit.
The people who live there have to work every day while everyone else visiting is enjoying the gorgeous weather and beautiful ocean. 🙂
