Chinatown, Part I

Maralee_Park_131129_57416-Edit-2Chinatown in Honolulu is always a fascinating place to visit.  It is always bustling with people and there are strange sights and odors in all of the stores.

Maralee_Park_131129_57414-Edit-EditIt is a very colorful place, too.  I did these three photos with various processes – one in color, one in black and white and one with a slightly sepia tone.

  1. It seams like there is a China town in every mayor city in US and Canada – Vancouver and San Francisco are suppose to have the biggest – Vancouver’s is a real adventure. Interesting shots, the black and white is my favorite here.

  2. . . . it’s Hawai’i . . . the weather is nice . . . they are in front of a bakery . . . and not one person is smiling.

    . . . it’s not how I remember Hawai’i, but it seems a depressing place to visit.
