Before I left town last week, I filled the bird feeder outside my office window. I expected it to be empty when I returned today, which it was, but then I found out that it was emptied much quicker than normal.
My co-worker video taped this squirrel using every attempt to get at the food in the feeder . . . from trying to take the top off to chewing the hanger. It’s a little bit dark, but you can get the idea.
Here’s the video:

This brings back memories of my little squirrel caught in the action as well.
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
They are persistent little animals.
Yes, they are. 🙂
Such a little devil. He almost fell off a couple of times. Funny video!
He was pretty determined to get at that food.
Cute video!

Thanks, Viveka. Thanks for sharing your video. I wonder how they did that.
This is amazing and yes very smart… I expected to go on… what happened then 🙂 Thank you dear Maralee, love, nia
Thanks, Nia. He finally just left when he couldn’t get the food.
After years of epic battles ebbing my way or theirs, I had enough of feeding squirrels, and bought two of these:
That price is a tad high, you can find them for less, but regardless, once I bought those, only the birds got seeds. Of course, it needs to be hung away from nearby branches. I can attest to their effectiveness.
Of course, I then bought real cheap seed to feed to the squirrels . . .
What a persistent little fella. Awesome
