A friend of ours asked me to take some photos of her 5 month old daughter. I just have a make-shift studio but I wanted to give it a try. It’s good for me to get out of my comfort zone a little bit.
This little girl is such a beautiful little girl. I don’t think she can take a bad photo. These are just a couple of the photos I took. It will take me a while to process the few hundred I took. 🙂

Ah it makes me miss my kids baby years! Beautiful pictures!!!
Thank you. It is such an adorable age.
Beautiful baby. Beautiful photos.
Thank you, Judy.
Awesome job Maralee and Clinton. You both take such wonderful pictures!!!
Maralee these photos are brilliant… is there not a certain type of photo you struggle with????
what gorgeous portraits… I’m sure your friend will be happy…. beautiful…
Thank you Rob. I struggle all the time and I’m always second guessing myself. Part of the reason I am doing the 365 day project is to try build more confidence in myself. Thank you for your wonderful comments.
They are absolutly beautiful pictures. We all love them and can’t wait to see more.
Thanks, Anna. She’s such a beautiful baby.
Beautiful photos of a beautiful baby. I agree there is nothing you can’t photograph and do it very well. You are a great photographer.
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
Thank you, Francine.
What a cute and smiley baby … a real poser !!! You did a great job, even if it took loads of shots … my pick is the hat on one. She are so full of joy on that one .. and not very girly. Fantastic job, Maralee.
Thank you, Viveka. She was a very happy baby and easy to photograph. She didn’t fuss much at all.
She are so adorable … !
Lucky you to be able to take photographs of this adorable little one. Love the photos!!!!!!
Thanks, Kaye. It was a fun photo shoot.
Oh isn’t she a poppet! Beautiful eyes… Well done Maralee, I think you’ve nailed it! 🙂
Thank you, Zelmare. She was fun to work with even though she didn’t take direction very well. 🙂 Mom and dad had to help her with that.
What a darling little girl 🙂
She is a beautiful little girl and so much fun to photograph.
Wonderful photos… well done.. I am curious as to what you have in your “make-shift studio”?
Thanks so much. I took the photos in my living room with all of the curtains open to bring in as much natural light as possible. The photos were taken with the baby on the floor on a blanket. I used a movable clothing rack in the back with a white sheet draped down to the ground. I put white poster board on each side. I had one light in front angled down to the blanket. That was it. I didn’t use the flash on the camera at all, but I used a higher ISO – around 800 – 1200.
That is fantastic work with the conditions you set up… I am even more impressed now that i understand the set up… they look very professional.
Maralee, these photos are fantastic!
