Yesterday I noticed a flowering plant in my herb garden and at first glance didn’t know what it was. Today I looked closer and found that it is my mint that is flowering. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a big flower on a mint plant before.

Our crab apples are starting to grow but they don’t look very healthy. Many of them had spots on them so I don’t think I’ll be getting too many apples from it this year. I haven’t had much luck with that tree.
A dandelion in our yard has gone to seed. I guess it’s time to mow the lawn again.

One of our pine trees has some long, narrow pinecones so I wanted to try some abstract photos with them.

Maralee

A wonderful set, Maralee. I especially like the pine cones. The second shot of the pine cone, in particular, catches my eye. I love the composition and shallow depth of field.
Thank you so much.
Wow but that camera of yours can make music… and the musician playing it is absolutely brilliant.. Maralee, these photos speak of a professional hidden in you… the last pine cone is something totally out of this world… one day I’m going to walk into a studio and say “who took that photo?” and they are going to say “Maralee” … and the problem is I’m not going to be able to afford it… but I will be able to brag “I followed her blog you know.”
Thank you so much, Rob. Your comments make me speechless – and that’s really hard to do. Ask my husband. I really appreciate your wonderful comments.
I mean every word I say… hell and if I can help a fellow man for a little peace ….. lol
Like these, Maralee! My favourite is the mint flower – love the soft lilac tiny flowers with the green. 🙂
Thanks, Zelmare. I had never seen my mint flower like that before. I’ve seen little tiny flowers but not the big flower.
You and your camera are a great team – and that macro are working its money off … love them – the crab apples my pick of today. I miss my old camera and that fantastic macro I have.
