Day 14 – Sky on Fire

Today the wind picked up and a bank of dark clouds hovered over the mountains today.  I had set my sights on taking some photos of some old building about 25 miles out of town.  We drove out there and it was a complete bust, but driving back to town I could see one section of the clouds over the mountains breaking just where the sun was going to set.  I missed one shot where the light above the clouds looked like flames above the clouds, but I was able to get this shot as the sun was going behind the mountains and the glow on the bottom of the clouds looked like it was on fire.  I didn’t have a lot of time and was only able to grab a couple of shots.  This was the best of the two.  I did some cropping to remove the tops of some houses on the bottom.
