Recently I have been focusing my photography on birds and wildlife and had gotten away from landscape. I've been wanting to take some evening photos so we went out last night to try get some car trails along the Deschutes River. It was a lot of fun. l

We have a few rufous hummingbirds battling each other for the feeder. Even though I have several hummingbird feeders out, they still chase each other away.
The osprey nest is empty. We don’t know what happened but there is no life in the nest. Saturday night mom and both chicks were there. The chicks were growing and thriving. Sunday morning they were gone. Did they fall out of the nest? My friend searched around the bottom of the tree and found …
The little ones are starting to check out their wings. It will be a little while before they're ready to leave the nest.
