The world as I see it
As we watched the cheetah's stalking the wildebeest, the sun was setting. It was a beautiful sunset but we were losing light very quickly. It was to the point that from where we were, it was difficult to see the cheetahs in the quickly fading light. TO BE CONTINUED . . .
We spent one afternoon with these two cheetah brothers. Most of the time they were grooming each other or sleeping. A bit later in the afternoon - more towards sunset - they both started walking toward a herd of wildebeest that were walking some distance away.
After our first "teaser" leopard sighting, I really wanted to see a "proper" leopard sighting. A couple days later, our incredible driver and guide, Jackson, spotted a leopard in a tree quite a distance away. Again, I have no idea how he spotted it. As we approached the tree, we could see the leopard sleeping. …
There was something about seeing this lone zebra walking down the road that made me love being in Africa all the more. It just seemed so normal.
