There were a lot of ducks on the pond by the river. Now that ice is forming along the banks, they seem to congregate in the area of open water. This group flew overhead after taking off from the river. Maralee

I'm not totally sure this is a golden-crowned sparrow but that's the closest bird that comes up in my bird ID. But it sure is a cute little bird. Maralee
