It's December 5th, it's 25 degrees outside, and this little hummingbird is still showing up at my feeder. I've had to thaw the nectar in the morning as it has frozen overnight. I worry about this little guy. I hope it has found a warm place to nest because it's just going to get colder. Maralee
Swan Lake
I came across this swan taking a nap on the river last week. It seemed so peaceful and content. A little while later it was joined by its mate. Such a beautiful couple. Maralee

I came across these mushrooms growing halfway up a tree. I thought they were very interesting. It pays to look up sometimes. Maralee
Birds
I have seen hundreds of robins flying around out in the country. In town, there are a lot, but not quite as many. I saw this one sitting in a tree while walking one day along with the junco. The juncos are finally starting to arrive for the winter. Maralee
Swans
I hadn't seen the swans at the river for a while but last week they were back. I always love watching these beautiful, graceful birds. Maralee
