I need help identifying what kind of duck this is. It doesn't have the coloring of a female mallard. I checked with the Merlin Photo ID app and that wasn't able to give me an ID. So I'm hoping someone can ID it for me. Maralee
Killdeer
It was a gorgeous, but chilly, day here yesterday. It was my first walk along the river in a while and it was beautiful. Just as I was finishing my walk, I noticed a couple of killdeer near a pond. They were a fair distance away so theses photos are highly cropped. Maralee

This little hummingbird is at my feeder every day. I'm looking forward to warmer weather and the time when more hummingbirds arrive. Maralee
Least Chipmunk
The tiny least chipmunk has returned after a long, hard winter. They are small and fast and hard to photograph. This one found a few morsels of food under my bird feeder and stopped to eat. They are so darn cute. Maralee
