This flicker showed up at my suet feeder briefly. It was early morning and the feeder was still in shadow so it was a little too dark to get a really good photo, but I could still see its yellow tail feathers. Maralee

It was 10° F when I got to the office. The hummingbird feeder was frozen. I changed the nectar and within the hour this little fellow showed up . It was still early and the feeder was in a shadow so the photos aren't very good, but I'm so amazed at these tiny birds surviving …

Mourning Dove – Day 44 – A Year of Wildlife
This mourning dove sat outside our office all day. It would fly onto a rock and then jump back down but it didn't leave the area. I was afraid it was injured and unable to fly, but when I left the office in the evening it was gone. I hope it is okay. Maralee
