The world as I see it
The water level on the river is very low now and items that have been concealed beneath the water are revealing themselves. This old boot is one of them. I don't know how long it has been in the river or how it got there but it made for an interesting sighting. Maralee
Because the sun is setting so early (around 4:30 pm) , we caught the sunset on our drive home over the mountains. It made it much harder to take photos from a moving vehicle, but I did what I could. Maralee
Once we passed Mt. Jefferson, Mt. Hood loomed right in front of us. On a cloudless day, it is a spectacular sight to see this mountain right in front of you. Again, all photos were taken from a moving vehicles so they may not be tack sharp. Maralee
We took a day trip over the mountains yesterday to attend an event. Normally I don't like to drive over the mountain passes in winter but winter has not yet arrived here. In fact, it was a gorgeous, sun-filled day and the mountains were spectacular. We didn't have time to stop to take photos so …
I took a few photos of some sparrows enjoying their meal in a tree by my office window. It was a very active tree with sparrows coming and going continuously. Maralee
