Vervet Monkey

While we were in Amboseli, we stayed at the Serena Safari Lodge. There were a lot of vervet monkeys at the lodge and they were not shy. The would come up onto the patio of our room and stare at us through the window. They were looking for food which we were advised not to give them. But they kept hoping . . .

They are very cute and very noisy. At times we would have a dozen or more monkeys playing outside our room. At any point when there was some kind of threat, they would all disappear into the trees.
