Last night I went out with the local photography meet up group to photograph the Milky Way over the Pine Mountain Observatory. It was a crystal clear evening when we arrived and hoped that we would get some nice photos.

The Milky way was to start appearing over one of the domes around 11:30 p.m. At around 11:00 p.m. clouds appeared and obliterated the clear sky. We did get some photos of the stars once it got dark but I’m not very happy with my photos. I have an older camera and have to crank up the ISO so I get a lot of grain. We will try for the Milky Way another time.

Still not bad.
. . . plus an evening out with fellow photographers . . .
It was nice to get out. It got very chilly and windy when the clouds blew in but we were able to get a few shots before that happened.
These images are awesome
