We drive by this old homestead every time we drive to Portland. It has been a number of years since I last photographed it so on our way to Seattle last week I stopped to take a couple of shots. It is more dilapidated now but such a great old home. I thought it would make a good conversion to black and white. Which do you prefer?

Very nice…I like the moodiness of the monochrome one best.
Wonderful old house to photograph. I like both, but the black and white is much more dramatic.
Colour.
Fantastic images, Maralee. I really love both– the monochrome has a lot of nice detail and drama. The color, however, has beautiful golden tones in the grasses that lead my eye to the house. Each wonderful in its own way.
