Bend is a very active community. There are numerous sporting events that attract competitors from all over the country. One of the post popular is the Pole, Pedal, Paddle which is a race involving five sports: alpine skiing, nordic skiing, bicycling, running, and kayaking. It can be done as an individual event or team events. While there are many very serious competitors, there are a lot of people who do it just for the fun of it. This year my husband and I went to the various venues to take some video of the event. This is a short recap.
