Pilot Butte I

This time of year is a perfect time to hike up Pilot Butte on my lunch hour.  It’s not too hot out yet and it is close enough to my office to allow time to go to the top and back within an hour.  There are three options to hiking the butte . . . the road route, the dirt trail route, and the trail around the base of the butte.  I like the first two because it gives me a bit of a workout.

Tuesday was a gorgeous day and I took the road route to the top.  There are gorgeous 360 degree views from the top.
