The best view of Oahu’s North/East coastline is from the Pali Overlook. You can see the coastline from Kailua, Kaneohe and to the north shore.

It is often very windy at the overlook, but this time it was relatively calm.

There are also many very colorful chickens running around. I guess they are truly free range chickens.

The panorama shot is exquisite, bursting with life and colour. A far cry from the wintry grey of London!
Thank you Mike. I enjoyed the beautiful weather while I was there. I’m back to the cold and gray now for the rest of the winter.
Well I hope you bring a little of it back with you through your photographs.
Fantastic!!!!
Thank you.
What beauty .. one could look at that view all day and not get bored…
Thanks. I could sit there and enjoy it all day, too.
You can see my high school from the Pali Lookout. I can’t wait until July (when we’re going back for a visit).
I will be the one being jealous in July. 🙂 What school did you go to? Castle? Kalaheo? Kailua? I lived in Kailua most of the time I was there. It has changed so much. Kailua is now a tourist destination and property there is in the 20 most expensive in the country. We should have held onto our house a few more years. 🙂
I went to Castle High School. So, we were rivals! 😉
Both of my step-sons graduated from Castle. Their mom lived in Kaneohe.
