Northern Flicker – Day 24 – A Year of Wildlife

This beautiful bird was sitting in a tree outside my office window. The Northern Flicker is a fairly large woodpecker and are quite common in our area. They have a very distinct "voice" and you can hear them from a fair distance away.

Flapping Goose – Day 20 – A Year of Wildlife

While stalking my heron, there were a few geese in the river and this one kept flapping its wings. I liked how the water sprayed around him.
