Kitty in Hiding
This cat was hiding in the bushes along the trail where I was walking. It looks pretty healthy and well fed so I think it probably belongs to someone who lives in the area. Maralee

This past weekend we took a trip to Washington to watch my step-son compete in a Spartan "Beast" race in Snoqualmie. Race day started out with a thick coating of fog hanging over everything. Tiny Pinecones
While I was stalking the heron along the river, I saw these tiny pine cones. I don't know what kind of tree they come from but they are only about 1/2" in size. Maralee
The Heron is Back
The great blue heron that I've been stalking for the last few years was back at the river this week. Of course, it was across the river from where I was so these photos are cropped quite a bit. I hope it sticks around for a while and I can get some better photos. Maralee
