The hummingbirds are becoming very scarce as they travel south for the winter. I look forward to their return in the spring. Maralee

With the arrival of cooler weather and shorter days, the hummingbirds are migrating south. We don't usually seen any hummingbirds after mid-October. I saw this one while walking along the river. I imagine it won't be sticking around much longer. Maralee

The days and nights are getting cooler and the hummingbirds are getting more scarce. They're still around but not in the numbers I was seeing all summer. Usually we see the last of the hummingbirds in the first part of October. I will miss them over the winter.
