The world as I see it
The Egyptian is a watering hole in the middle of the Masai Mara. Zebras and wildebeest would travel for miles just to get water from this watering hole. On this particular day. there was a stream of animals as far as the eye could see walking toward this place.
On the road to the Amboseli airport we encountered a bit of a traffic jam. Now this is the kind of traffic jam I can put up with. Maralee
The egrets love to perch on the backs of the large animals. Here's one on the back of an elephant. I'm quite sure the elephant has no idea the egret is there. Maralee
I put some nuts out for this squirrel who had been eating all of the food in my bird feeder. I thought it would distract him and let the birds have the feeder. It worked until a scrub jay decided it wanted the nuts. Both of them would take a nut and the hide it …
Last week we had a record amount of snow. I spent hours outdoors shoveling snow and raking snow off of our roof. The ducks seemed to have fared quite well with all the snow. Maralee
