I've been going to the river to practice photographing birds in flight. It's hard to keep them in focus and have the entire bird in the frame. I will keep practicing. 🙂 Maralee
A Couple of Old Coots
When I was down by the river this weekend, I saw these strange-looking birds. I thought they were black ducks. I searched the internet for black ducks with white bill and lo and behold . . . they're coots. Maralee
Tulips . . . V (Finale)
While most of my tulip photos were more of a macro nature, I did take a few photos of them all together. I liked the blend of colors. Maralee
Tulips . . . IV (Backlit)
I wanted to try to get some photos of the tulips when they opened using backlighting from the sun. We were fortunate to have a couple of beautiful, sunny days. Today there was a lot of sunshine but there was a thin high cloud cover which made for a little more diffused lighting. Maralee
Tulips . . . III (Yellow Tulips)
These yellow tulips were from the same bouquet. I liked the fringe on the petals. These just seemed to brighten up the whole room. Maralee
