We had a mother and three baby rockchucks in the back yard at our office this morning. The little ones were so cute playing. Once mom saw me taking photos, the gathered up the kids and ran under the fence. Maralee

Black Bird
If my research is correct, this is a Brewer's Blackbird. I was taking a walk at the park yesterday and there were several of these in a bush as I was walking by. This one was kind enough to stay long enough for me to get some shots of is. Maralee
Owlet’s Parent
Mom and Dad Owl keep vigilant watch over their young one. I don't know if this is mom or dad but both were nearby. The other parent was pretty well hidden by branches about 10 feet above this owl. Maralee
