Every morning, at the crack of dawn, this scrub jay (and a couple of his buddies) sit on my back deck and squawk at my cats. I know the birds are taunting the cats because they know the cats can't get them. Maralee

Pastel Grass
While walking through my "garden" yesterday afternoon, some colorful red and green grasses caught my eye. The lighting was terrible at the time so I got up this morning to capture it in the morning light. I love the pastel effect of the grasses against a green bush. Maralee
A New Furry Friend
This little chipmunk showed up at work last week and has been visiting us every day. The photos were taken through a very dirty window so I had to make some compensation in Lightroom. Maralee
