Our hummingbird population seems to have drastically diminished over the last two weeks. It has cooled down considerably and I'm afraid they may have started their migration south. If so, it's awfully early . . . we usually have hummingbirds here until October. Maralee

Seagulls I
Seagulls are noisy and can make a real mess, but I have missed them. So while I was visiting my home town recently, I took quite a few photos of the herring gulls. Maralee
A Quail “Couple”
This quail "couple" was rolling around in the dirt in our yard and seemed oblivious to the fact that I was sitting about 10 feet away from them. I'm not sure why they roll around in the dirt, but maybe its how they clean themselves. Maralee
