Sunflowers are one of my favorite summer flowers. They just make me happy. It will be a while before ours start growing so until then, I'll have to enjoy cut flowers. Maralee
Day 303 – Sad Little Sunflower
I came across some sunflowers that are way past their prime. The are such a happy flower when they are blooming in the summer but when autumn arrives and they lose their petals, their heads droop and they look so sad. Maralee

Day 242 – Flowers
I came across these flowers in someone else's garden and had to photograph them. The lighting was mid-day so it was quite harsh. The only way I could get the sunflower was with the lighting in the back. The other's I tried to get close and avoid too much glare and shadow. Maralee
