The High Roller is Las Vegas’ newest attraction. It is a 550-foot tall observation Ferris wheel and is now the world’s tallest observation Ferris wheel. It opened on March 31st which happened to be the first day we were in Las Vegas. So of course we had to go give it a spin.
We went on it at night and the views of the Las Vegas lights were spectacular. It takes about 1/2 hour to make the complete rotation. I enjoyed it even though I’m not particularly fond of heights. It was one of the highlights (pun intended) of my trip.

We’re discussing the idea of riding on it if we go there . . . so far, the voting is split down the middle.
I enjoyed it. It helped that we didn’t have too many people in out pod. I guess each pod holds up to 30 people but we only had about 10 in ours. There was plenty of room to move about. I was a little concerned before we got on because they were have some high wind gusts that day but we didn’t notice it at all in the pod.
Ah . . . other people . . . not good; not good at all.
Wonderful pics. How much do they charge for the ride?
It’s $25 during the day and $35 at night.
Wonderful photographs. We may just have to give this a go when we go in July…are the pods air conditioned or open air? Vegas in July is unbearable.
Nevermind, I can tell from the photo…looks like a sealed bowl!
Why that discriminates against . . . people who want the distinction of committing suicide from the world’s tallest ferris wheel.
. . . I smell a lawsuit coming, and we, the photographers, may benefit from it. I hate shooting through glass.
I don’t know if I would this … so scared of heights – but the view is stunning .. the thing is my friend have hardly no sight left, so she will not go in the wheel. And alone .. maybe.
Fantastic images.
I should’ve gone up in it!!!
