Take Off

One of the great things about living on the high desert is that even when the summer days can be unbearably hot, once the sun goes down it cools down very quickly. Our days have been very hot recently so I have to do my daily walks early in the morning. It is so pleasant walking in the cool of the morning with the sun just starting to rise. At this time of morning the birds are very active. I’ve been able to photograph a lot of birds along the river the last few mornings. Here is a gaggle of geese taking off from the river.
